RPMASA MEMBERSHIP

Membership of the RPMASA is open to all companies in the supply chain supplying or using portable containers of any type. This includes design, manufacture, fill, use & empty, reprocess, recondition or remanufacture as well as support services and Interested parties.
Companies that supply products or services to RPMASA members and consultants, who are involved in activities, which bring them into regular contact with the industry, are also eligible for membership. Government are also encouraged to join.

NB A container is defined as a container or IBC of up to 1,000 litre capacity that is used for transportation and storage, new or reprocessed for reuse. The material of construction can be of any suitable type which serves the purpose,


MEMBERS may be:

Patron - A special category of members, who actively supports and promotes our policies and ideals.
Manufacturers & designers of original packaging.
Reprocessors, reconditioners, remanufacturers of used drums & containers - Refer SANS 10406
Recyclers of used drum & containers - Organisations who collect and recycle the material from which used drums and containers are made.
Filler/User/Emptier - Organisations who fill and/or use and empty, re-usable drums & containers for transport and distribution of products or use the contents or act as a distributor or trader.
Supplier/Service Provider - Organisations who provide goods and services to the re-usable container industry. This includes transport and waste disposal companies.


AFFILIATE MEMBERS

Consultant - Individuals or organisations who provide an audit, training or other appropriate consulting service to members.
Government - Departments or sections of national, provincial or local government, or Municipalities.
International - Any organisation from outside of Southern Africa as per above categories.
Industry Association - As per agreement
Interested Parties: Individuals - who wish to play a supporting role in RPMASA activities and Organisations who support the aims and activities of the Association e.g. Retail trade
Blenders - companies that formulate, mix, fill and distribute specialist chemical preparations. These are usually small organisations who do not have own SHEQ resources and need information, support and advice and who wish to have a voice in any rules and regulations which could affect their operation.
